What if I go for a job?,This is the question in the mind of most graduates today, but come to think of it; after 4-5 years in the university or polytechnic as the case may be, studying on a particular field of knowledge, then a year service to your nation. What next on your mind is to get a 'job', isn't that?, but do you really need it!!!. Here are three things to ponder about before taking that step...;
1. YOU SELL YOUR MOST PRICED ASSET FOR PEANUT: Yes! Your most priced asset in this life is your time and skill and this are exactly what you sell to your employer when he grants you a JOB. He pays you peanut in exchange for your time and talent once every month while you are expected to work out your ass for a minimum of 20 days of the month. You are also expected to meet 100% of the job assigned to you everyday in other to go home with 25% of your total production. Painful indeed, is the fact that most often, even the promised crumb dont get to you as at when due. The easiest way to get yourself imprisoned is to get a JOB. When you eventually succeed in getting one, you have indirectly submitted your prerogative right to someone called THE BOSS. This guy now have the right to dictate when you go to urinate, when to eat breakfast and even when its rightful to visit your sick parents. Man! JOB is the new name for the modern day slavery and suprisingly, 70% of Nigerian young graduates opt for it. What a decision?
2. NO LEVERAGE ! Is it possible for you to get 10,000 man hours from 24 hours? The answer from most people, to this question, of whom a greater percentage are employees, is No! This is because they don't understand the power of leverage. My answer to this question is EMPHATIC Yes! You can access 10,000 man hours out of 24 hours. Yes, You can! if and only if you are THE EMPLOYER, THE BIG BUSINESS OWNER AND NEVER THE EMPLOYEE who employs 1000 people who gives you 10 man hours per day and you make 10,000 man hours per day. This is called the power of leverage. Mike Adenuga, Dangote, Otedola and the likes understands this principle well.
Whom do they leverage on? You of course! Yes, you the Jobber, The employee!! The employee have no time because that which he has , he has sold out to the man who knows better, the man who values more of his time and talent than he does. I mean the Business owner. The big business owners understand leverage. Leverage is the only factor that guarantees wealth creation. To create wealth, you must leverage on people's time, talent, money and other assets. When you get a job, you lose the opportunity to access this power tools. The greatest loss of an employee is THE LOSS OF THE POWER OF LEVERAGE....No wonder 97% of Employees retire into SERIOUS POVERTY at old age! My final question to you is this- Would you rather go for a JOB or Leverage? Choose one!
3. FINANCIAL FREEDOM IS A MIRAGE! It is practically impossible for a 100% compliant employee to end up RICH! Yes, you heard me right.
